With the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Performance, IWC presents a chronograph that is optimised for performance without compromise. This model is dedicated to Mercedes AMG, the Mercedes-Benz subsidiary dedicated to sports cars and an IWC partner since 2004. The 41-millimetre case, crown and pushers are made of grade 5 titanium, an alloy that is around 45% lighter than steel and remarkably rigid. Its brushed-finish case features polished details on the lugs. One of the watch’s remarkable features is its ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale, which allows the wearer to measure their average speed based on the distance covered. This model features a black dial with a glossy finish, matching the polished black ceramic bezel. The recessed totalizers, hands, and applied indices and numerals are made of blackened nickel and filled with Super-LumiNova® for even more depth and excellent nighttime readability. The Pilot's Watch Chronograph Performance 41 is powered by the IWC-developed 69385 manufacture calibre. This mechanical chronograph movement, visible through the tinted sapphire crystal case back, consists of 242 individual parts. Its bidirectional pawl winding system stores a power reserve of 46 hours in the mainspring. The chronograph's column-wheel control ensures that the individual phases of the sequences are clearly defined. There is also resistance when pressing the buttons. The chronograph features IWC's characteristic vertical arrangement of subdials. The measured minutes are displayed directly at 12 o'clock for optimum readability. Water-resistant up to 10 bar, the watch comes with a waterproof and durable black rubber strap.
