IWC Pilot's Watch Chronograph TOP GUN Edition "Woodland"

A dark green hue, inspired by the flight suits and uniforms of TOPGUN pilots, as well as the vast forest landscapes whose airspaces are used by these pilots as training areas. “Woodland” is the latest addition to IWC’s collection of colored ceramic pieces, and the Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Top Gun Edition “Woodland” is the first model to feature these colors. The colored ceramics are the result of a sophisticated manufacturing process in which zirconium oxide is mixed with other metal oxides. Since the color changes during the sintering process, it takes countless trials and a lot of experience to determine the right mix of raw materials. The monochromatic design is completed by a dark green dial, black hands and prints, and a discreet green luminescent material. The pushers, crown, and case back engraved with the Top Gun logo are made of Ceratanium®. As light and resilient as titanium, this matte black IWC material also shares the strength and scratch resistance of ceramic. At the heart of the 44-millimetre ceramic case beats the IWC-manufactured calibre 69380. Featuring a classic design, the column-wheel chronograph movement also features a day and date display at 3 o’clock. A soft iron case protects the movement from magnetic fields. This Top Gun chronograph watch is fitted with a green rubber strap with textile inlay, the colour of which has been perfectly matched to the “Woodland” case.
