This version features a 41 mm stainless steel case, a Dune dial, gold hands and gold appliques. The highlight of this model is its dial, which has been meticulously crafted using a complex process involving 60 steps. The surprising optical depth is achieved by applying 15 layers of fine transparent lacquer, which is polished to a high-gloss finish. The counters are milled into the brass and lacquer layers. A special printing process enhances the 3D effect. Finally, the appliques are individually hand-mounted on the dial. The Portugieser Chronograph is powered by the IWC-manufactured calibre 69355, a mechanical chronograph movement designed for robustness, reliability and longevity. The watch is fitted with a black alligator strap with a stainless steel pin buckle.
