The bridges, wheels, escapement, barrel and other components of the movement, usually hidden under the dial, are here exposed on the plate. Another strong element of the piece is the pare-chute positioned at 4 o'clock. This Breguet invention protects the balance shaft from shocks. It is the ancestor of the modern "Incabloc" and all other shock protections.
